Poças-Conde
B & B Bahia is located in Poças, a small fishermen village in the region Conde. There is only one sandy street right in between the Atlantic Ocean and the river Itapicurú. Six kilometers away is a death end, so there is not many drive-by traffic. Before arriving here you pass a beautiful delta (Barra Nova), with shrimp and crab fishermen, grazing cows and frisky horses.
Poças means "puddle", a phenomenon that occurs at low water when there are puddles between the rocks, natural swimming pools. The simple village people are very friendly and jovial. They live mainly on fishing, partly for their own use, partly intended for sale. Poças has the only natural port in the region. Life here is peaceful and safe, away from the tourist route. There is electricity, running water, telephone and internet.
Here you can really experience the Brazilian life while enjoying the Western comfort!
There are several restaurants, bars and a snack bar, two groceries and a souvenir shop where you can buy handmade presents.
