Boat trip
You sail with a traditional fishing boat along the banks of the Rio "Itapicurú, which are densely overgrown with tropical plants and trees. Most striking are the roots of the mangroves. The river is quite wide and packed with fish. You'll see houses built mainly of mud and later on the scaffolding of Siribinha, a major tourist village in the region.
After more or less 45 minutes sailing you approach the ocean. Here you'll stay for a while on a quiet beach near the mouth, where you can swim and lunch. On the way back we make a stop at Cavalo Russo, the hotspot for the local youth and families.
After a 10 minute walk we arrive at a snow white dune and a freshwater river. Excellent to have a cool bath. You ’ll be back in Poças before sundown.
