The extensive breakfast, with lots of exotic fruit and the famous Brazilian coffee is served in the Main House restaurant and the garden veranda. For your very lazy days we made a menu with both Bahian and international cuisine.
You can also book your stay at B&B Bahia in half or full board. In most of the restaurants the menu (cardapio) is only written in Portuguese. It is therefore useful to bring a small dictionary. If this may help: peixe = fish, carne = meat, frango = chicken. The dishes and prices are usually for two persons, unless otherwise indicated. Tira gusto on the menu means “little bite”, but in our region it’s rather a full single portion.
Beer (Nova Schin, Skoll, …) is served very cold in large bottles in a cooler. They drink it in small glasses (Americanos).
Wines in our region are generally not available, or let say, the good ones. We have some good Chilean, Argentine and Brazilian wines at our menu.
Caipirinha is the national cocktail (cachaça, lime, sugar and ice).
And of course there is the fruit juice. Maracujá (passion fruit), acerola (cherry type), manga (mango), limão (lime), laranja (orange),… Choice over !
